Job Description:
- This is a full-time Math Instructor I position for an elite after-school college prep institution
- Will instruct small groups of students in their math core skills to promote long-term understanding of topics, and top scores in their college readiness exams (ACT & SAT). Great instructors will show practical, real world examples of math topics to inspire a love for learning

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree (or near graduation) in a STEM major required

GPA 3.5 or higher

Mastery of the following Subjects:
- Pre-Algebra
- Algebra I & II
- Geometry
- Trigonometry
- Statistics
- Mastery of SAT & ACT Math
- Strong verbal skills and mastery of the English language is a MUST
- Teaching experience in math (1+ years) required
- Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, G-Suites

English Instructor Application

Essay Specialist Application
Vanguard College Prep is looking for Essay Specialists who can assist high schoolers in the essay component of their college and scholarship applications. A large part of this position is helping students find their voice and guiding them in articulating their achievements and experiences into well-organized essays. A perk of the position is that it can be worked remotely from the comforts of your own home, or study room, as long as you have internet. Although the ideal candidate will be an experienced writer, Vanguard will provide the necessary on-the-job training to get the new team member acclimated with our processes. The prospective applicant must have a penchant for words and a love of helping others. The ability to listen, communicate as well as remain organized are a must.
Job Description:
- Part-Time position only.
- Will work on-site or remotely with students in a one-on-one session to guide them on their college and/or scholarship applications.

Each 1 hour long session is dedicated to either brainstorming, developing, editing, and mentoring students through the essay process.

Log the stage and progress of the essay in online platform for review.

Submit drafts to directors for review and final approval.

Job Description:
- Ensures office is organized and runs smoothly.
- Responsible for all incoming calls – if new client, existing client, or taking messages.
- Assists in developing relations with existing clients.
- Proctors tests for students.
- Reports all staff, client, vendor and sub-contractor issues to Directors.
- Develops, implements, follows and perfects office systems and procedures.
- Responsible for operation and maintenance office equipment and inventory of office supplies.
- Read & answer all work-related emails.
- Answer all phone calls and direct callers to appropriate contact.
- Maintains and manages company calendar/appointments/client schedules.
- Schedule any appointments for Directors.
- Organizes and composes office correspondence, documents and other reports.
- Supports sales and production.
- Maintain a list of office supplies to reorder or refill (toner, copy paper, whiteout, pens, etc.) and order supplies accordingly.
- Order and assemble company marketing materials.
- Send communication (“thank you notes”, referral gifts, etc.) accordingly.
- Review upcoming Daily/Weekly schedule with Directors.
- Participates in staff meetings, as needed.
- Ensures company’s public image is consistent and in keeping with branding.
- Marketing assistance, (Social Media, Events, etc).
- Process and prepare Accounts Receivables for directors. For Accounts Receivables, reach out to clients to ensure timely payment.
- Maintains clean desk and work environment policy.
- Daily: run errands, order and pickup lunch for teams.
